I'm on a mission to visit all 50 states before the end of my 30th year. I'm down to 3 left after my big New England Trip this fall; Louisiana, Montana, and Alaska.

I don't know that I have one really. Have fun, be kind, geek out. That's as close to a personal philosophy that I can come up with.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am newer to this site, but my sister has used it a lot and swears by it, so I would like to get involved hosting and being hosted as well! Right now, I just have an air mattress, no couch, but I think its still comfortable. I am willing to meet anyone in the Phoenix area to hang out and talk traveling (or anything really), just drop me a line!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a host family when I was in Japan. Although it wasn't organized through this website, it was a lot of fun to live with a native and see what their life was like from an "inside" perspective.

Movies - Anything Sci-fi or Fantasy really. A couple favorites are Star Wars, LOTR, Dredd,

Music - my music collection is eclectic. I have at least one song from every genre, but I mostly like soft rock, some pop, and foreign. Not really into country and rap, but I can find my groove if I need to.

Books - So many. Really. To narrow it down a bit I'd go with lots and lots of Sci-fi and Fantasy books. Too many favorites to name.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have climbed Japan's Mt. Fuji during the middle of the night to watch the sunrise from the summit.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an upper belt in traditional jujitsu. While I won't be able to teach you a lot if you're only with me a few days, I'd love to go over some more practical self defense moves with you if you want.
