About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live, laugh, love, share this earth with each other and everyone, and show our son the beauty in the madness.

ABOUT ME

I like to spin poi and hike up mountains. I've been known to break into song at random moments. I'm quiet, until you get to know me (or stumble upon a subject I happen to be enthusiastic about). I try to be a good person.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone whose life you touch you change, no matter to what effect. I try to keep that in mind and always change for the good. I'm a thinker and an observer. I'm not sure why I'm here or what I'm supposed to be doing, but I trust my intuition and follow my heart - it's never led me too far astray. And, to quote from a fantastic book I once read.....'All knowledge is worth having.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I participate little, but as a new member that's hardly surprising. I have a few friends in the area who are already part of the CS community, and through them have I come here. I would love the opportunity to host, and I'm hoping for the chance to surf sometime soon!

Interests

I'm most interested in civic agriculture, which encompasses everything pertaining to locally sourced and sustainable food systems: small farms, farmer's markets, CSA's, rural community development, animal welfare, social justice, environmental stewardship, health and nutrition, connection to the land and to place, etc.

Let's see, what else.....herbal medicine, homesteading, long novels, dancing, learning how to build a road bike, and so many other things I wish I had more time for!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We went skydiving in Florida for our first anniversary. One of these days, I'd love to go again!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn poi better than I have up to now, or show the basics to someone who's never tried it.
