Hi! I'm Shiori, a 26 year old girl recently moved back to Japan. I have completed my education in Japan, the U.S. and Germany, and soon starting a new job as a recruiter in Osaka, Japan.

I am a very easy-going, always laughing, and straightforward person! Meeting interesting people and sharing interests and life stories are what excites me the most :) I like traveling, but actually never really done couchsurfing. I would love to host peole coming to Japan and offer them a great time in this exciting city, Osaka!

I am quite busy with work during the day but when I have time on weekends, I would love to show you around ^^

I love couchsurfing meetings, it's a great place to meet people from all over the world.

Since I got my own apartment now, I thought it would be cool to start hosting too :) My place is located in Esaka, very well-located and nice neighborhood just a few minutes away from the subway station!

My room is always very clean and nicely tidied up. Not a great cook myself but maybe we can improvise and make something cool haha

If you come after a loooong day, I would kindly ask you to take a shower before sleeping in the same space as me- sorry to be a bit uptight but hope you understand :-)

Musica, film e libri

Music:
I have played instruments all my life- classic and jazz piano, drums, ukulele, and a little bit of guitar. I used to sing in a band when i was younger :)
I enjoy all kinds of music except hip-hop and rap, but I have to say Jazz is my absolute favorite.

Books:
I usually like non fictional novels about famous figures or historical incidents etc. I also enjoy essays on social problems and society that really open my eyes- fictional novels are sometimes ok but I often lose interests when it's not based on the fact, unless it's really well-written. I find poetry fascinating but havent read much yet, would like to cultivate my knowledge in poetry tho!

Movies:
Life is Beautiful, Blood Diamond, Hotel Rwanda, basically anything that is thought-provoking. I also like chick flicks like The Notebook haha. I dont know why but I like movies that make my cry lol

Music:
Jane Monheit, Sam Cooke, Stan Getz, Jack Johnson, Maroon5...other than that I just listen to random playlist that reflects my mood :D
