About Me
I grew up on Cape Cod working in boatyards, owning a yard, building boats, driving research vessels (mostly environmental work)
and small private ferries, now working on the local Pilot Boat in Penobscot Bay, Maine. We own a small sail boat (S&S 24' Dolphin class)
My wife Susan grew up in the White Mtns of New Hampshire. She is an avid skier, hiker and biker. Her career was a social worker in child development and early intervention.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled to the Antarctic from Ushuaia, Argentina on the Nat Science Foundations vessel "Hero" for a research project with a friend from the Bodega Bay Marine Labs in California, sampling the Ice from the snowfields and in crevasses down to 30+ feet for Plutonium, PCB's, lead 210, etc, all quite toxic. We were able to able to date it all by the layers in the snow and ice.
Susan has backpacked around the world, Europe, Russia by train to Japan and back across the USA
Countries I’ve Visited
