About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting off of my couch and onto yours.

ABOUT ME

I like random fun facts about people and so, I just asked my sister to pick a number -any number to the span of infinity, and she said twelve. So, I asked 12 people to give random facts about me.

1. I take my friends everywhere -Rachel.

2. I have a really expansive wardrobe. -Dad

3. I wear my skirts really high up. -Amanda

4. I met my former-fiance on Myspace. I wear platform boots and can maintain well posture and can actually walk in 9 inch platform heels. I might be really small, but I wear large-sized shoes. -Becky

5. I got prophesied over that my strength is in my worship. I want to go to Ireland with the Janssens. -Lindsay

6. I get free stuff at Donatos, including beer. I used to have hair like Rapunzel. I am his favorite person EVER. -Chris Browning

7. I'm Christian. -Chris Newlon

8. I used to chase bats when I was little. -Tiffany

9. My Dad used to be a cop. -Kolyn

10. I am totally okay with not showering every day. I believe Captain Planet is a legitimate superhero. -Ginny

11. I graduated Missionettes. I lived in a house in another state(Omaha, NE) for a bit.. I dated a member of a band. I dated a member of n*SYNC. -Johnny

12. I proved to Jay McFaul that the Spartans didn't wear their shoes as high as they did in 300 because they would fall off all the time. Also, a weird random fact about me is that I'm really boring and not random or weird at all. -Jay McFaul

Well, there you have it: me in a very large nutshell.

PHILOSOPHY

Besides Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, there are a few quotes I repeat. Voltaire is quoted as saying, "God is a comedian performing for an audience too afraid to laugh." I love it! One more that I live by, which attributes to my Namaste mentality, is quoted from Plato: "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle."

Interests

Financial limitation is something I have worked hard to remove from my list of potential worries -and not because I am rich in it! (I'm not.) I am a true believer in miracles and being available for anything to take place (and through anyone). Unfortunately, our western civilization has all but removed the belief of the importance of both. If I had a 'free reign' of money for one day, I would pay off my family's bills and mortgage and all things considered, in an effort to assist, but also so they could stop focusing on what they don't have (liberation of debt) and focus on what they do have (life left to live fully and abundantly).

I treasure quality time with souls, and not the quantity of souls. I hope to be, in essence, a welcome mat for others to find true love, solace, warmth, and possibly baked goods. I would be honored and not surprised, to be certain, if any one of those things brought someone "from mediocrity to greatness". Everyone wants to be loved, understood, and not judged -I just try hard to be that person! My passion is people. I love loving people, and Health, Diet and Fitness are an intrinsic trifecta for outward (okay, and inward) development to allow even the most metaphysical of mantras to take hold of oneself to positively effect others. Indeed, loving God and loving people, and the beautiful thing is that you can't truly and wholly love one without the other; they are so intrinsically combined.

This simple pleasure of doing a job well that is worth doing is a favorite time-spender: whether it's a Yoga class, biking 20 miles to a coffee shop that is 100% dedicated to helping Ethiopians, gardening in the morning or scooping up wolf poop at a non-profit I volunteer for. As long as I remain a cheerful giver of my time, I'm blessed.

Music, Movies, and Books

The sound of the Florida rain hitting the ground, the swelling croaks of the crickets and frogs at dusk, the laughter of my friends and family, the sound of the words a cherished one says to me out of love and encouragement -these are all things that I want my life filled over the brim with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't want to be remembered for anything. I don't want anything I do to be about me -it's not. Nothing I do can afford to be supported by a back-burner goal of potentially being remembered for it. I'm simply a vessel. Anything I do, I want to do it with the intention of remaining anonymous.

Teach, Learn, Share

I helped my mother start a garden. It's a surprisingly proud moment when you see you've helped something come into fruition (ha!) that is healthy for you and your family. It's certainly trial and error, but that's what makes it so much fun. Nobody can take away what you've learned on your own like that.
