À propos de moi

Hello dear friends,
I'm Shir, and it's been quite a while since I've been on couchsurfing!
Originally from Israel, throughout my life I've traveled and lived all around the world for a good long while, growing up nomadic and spending a few years living mostly in Central America at different yoga, permaculture, intentional communities.
For the last couple of years I've been more grounded, living in Israel. Studying, deepening my connection to the earth and her medicines. Learning, crafting and teaching the Herbal ways.
Now it's finally time to spread my wings and have a good soul filling adventure journey again!
I am always looking for more ways to learn, grow and share what I’ve learned along the way, finding connections and community and contributing my skills and passions. .
Throughout the years I’ve worked in wildlife rescue and rehab, built deco, art installations and murals all over at festivals and events, helped with food rescue projects, worked greening events, traveled the U.S by van and boat, worked with kids and art, hitchhiked, traveled and lived in intentional communities in Central America leading sustainable projects, managing a yoga retreat center, and finally finding my hearts calling working with the herbs.

The last couple years it's been hard to get around.. We all know, and now that's it's possible again I am so thrilled to be traveling, experiencing and learning all I can from the world and the creatures (humans included) around me while giving what I can.
I've moved around and traveled a lot throughout my life so I've definitely caught the travel bug and like to do it in a way that connects me with the places I go.
I'm always looking to learn more about the local people, plants and perspectives.

I'm curious, open minded, creative and have an affinity for the natural world and the stranger things in life. I love to play but am most definitely a hard worker and will pour my heart and soul into anything I care about.
I can spend hours talking herbs, and sharing what I know, learning from those around me.

There's probably lots more to say, but that'll have to wait till we meet :)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has served me soooo well in the past as I wandered through Europe, the States and other parts of this earth.
I've met really amazing humans, seen beautiful places, and had magical experiences. I really believe it's wonderful way to travel. I feel that the best way to really get know a place is by being with locals and couchsurfing is a great opportunity for connection.

Centres d'intérêt

Herbs, herbs and more herbs!
I mean I love other things as well, but honestly anything to do with herbs, the earth, medicine traditions, folklore, plants, people and connection with the land have taken my heart. If you have any semblance of connection or interest in the natural world, we will find common ground.
My hearts deepest desire is to find ways to rekindle the loving reciprocal relations between humans the rest of the earth community. Entering into right relations with the land and learning to love, give and receive all that we have to offer one another with gratitude and humility.

Other then that?
Letting my inner 5 year old out, smiling, hiking, camping, foraging, nature and wildlife, photography, music and music festivals.
Anything witchy~ plants, planets and people.
Yoga has a huge part in my life these days as well.
I loveee a good book, a groovy jam, acrobalance or anything circusy, art, permaculture, reading, urban exploration, sustainable living, sacred silliness. I also of course love to have a good wiggle on the dance floor and go on wild spontaneous adventures.. and most of all learning from the life and the people around me and giving back whatever I can.
Rivers, can we just talk about the magic of rivers? Lounging, floating, swimming, listening, just being near and in living flowing waters... Aaaaah good stuff.
So pretty much just enjoying everything I do and generally having a good time!
