ABOUT ME

* * * I DO NOT LIVE IN HAIFA - I LIVE IN TEL AVIV * * *

Since I can remember, I have been fascinated with people from other places. I tried talking to some American sailors in my hometown when I was no older than 5...
I met some special people in my travels, with whom I could really have cultural exchange, and it was always educating and a lot of fun.
I enjoy nature and peace, but also dancing to happy music and an intelligent conversation.

I see that many hosts talk about the same issues, so just if you're wondering: I don't smoke at all, I like to cook (or wash dishes ;)), I usually travel alone and have a sleeping bag, a sheet and a towel. It's important for me to be a good, easy-to-live-with guest and leave a happy host :)

PHILOSOPHY

I used to think life had no meaning, that we're all just accidents living in an accidental world that doesn't care about us.
Today I know that life is totally on my side, and I can trust existance to bring me whatever I need (if if it doesn't look that way at that moment).

I like living like this a lot better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed in Norway and Budapest and it was great. Unfortunately I was living for a few years in a tiny room on a mountain with no public transportation, so I wasn't a hot destination for CSrs.
Now however, after a wonderful experience in Spain (and a move to Tel Aviv, still to a tiny room though), my appetite for hosting is back :)

Interests

I love being out in nature, watching animals and plants, trekking, and then just as much - coming home to hot bath and dinner :)
I also enjoy taking photos, wondering around large, surreal cities, watching cinema, traveling, reading, many forms of music, yoga and Osho active meditations.

Music, Movies, and Books

Examples:
Film - Terry Giliam, Mel Brooks, Kevin Smith, Eternal Sunshine of the spotless Mind, Little Miss Sunshine, CLOUD ATLAS (OMG), The Princess Bride, Princess Mononoke, Kikujiro...
Israeli music rules! But also Sting, Colin Hay, Pink Floyd, Secret Garden, Robbie Williams... pretty mixed.
And books: The God of Small Things, 100 Years of Solitude, The Power of Now, and my personal favorite book I am never tired of going back to - Neverending Story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have to choose one, huh? Ok. During an 8 day sailing in the Galapagos Islands (which in and of itself is an amazing thing seen and done) we bumped into a pack of Orcas and took the zodiacs down to the water to hang out with them for an hour. Blew my mind.

Teach, Learn, Share

My Spanish could definitely use some practice, and I'd love to meet more Israelis from the community. Also, partners for roaming the city or watching a movie/show and then talking about them - always welcome.
To teach - I have a lot. As a tour guide I can answer a ton of questions about my country (and if you're lucky, maybe a little tour as well).
I also love talking about awareness, healthy food and the spirit-body connection.
