About Me
I feel a strong connection to nature. Being in solitude in the nature gives me peace of mind. My best days is when I wake up early, hike and watch the sunrise.
In the last years my life has been equally split between Vienna where I work and the rural Russia where my parents have a little organic farm with diverse veggies, lovely goats and chickens. Thanks to the inspiration from my mom, I learned a lot about sustainable agriculture and, apart from growing more traditional veggies, I have been experimenting with growing asparagus and buckwheat.
My favorite ways to move around the town is cycling on my beloved old-timer bike that has been with me for over a decade now. Together with friends, we have done some lovely bike tours - along the Danube from Germany to Vienna, along Mosel wine areas in Germany and a beautiful loop in Holland.
To move between cities on a longer distance, I love to take the train and meditatively watch how the landscape flies in the window. I loved the 3-day train ride to Siberia. Discovering hidden natural treasures, especially in the country of my origin, has been my passion for many years and brought me to Karelia, Kamchatka, Altai, Baikal, Southern and Sub-Polar Ural, Yakutia.
I appreciate different cultures and people of the world. My origins are from Udmurtia, a small finno-ugric region of Russia. I was growing up hearing two completely different languages, and that's probably where my love for learning languages was born.
I love music - listening to it, singing, playing guitar and accordion. I am not a pro in any way, but I love how music soothens my soul and brings people together.
Professsionally, I have been blessed to work with one amazing international citizen-sector organization for the last 10 years - being a thought partner to social entrepreneurs around the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that numerous Couchsuring and hitch-hiking experiences that I had in my late student years around have to a large extent shaped my personality - they solidified my trust in people.
I surfed many dozens of couches around the world- before CS, with CS, and also after I stopped actively using CS for some years and switched to WWOOFing following my passion for agriculture and learning cheese-making. I have also been regularly hosting people, in and beyond CS. Some of my best friends and brightest experiences in life stem from couchsurfing.
(p.s. most of my profile pictures here come from the times when I was actively using CS, which is about 12 years ago :)).
I wish everyone in the world had a chance to be warm-heartedly hosted by a complete stranger. This might be a little but very important puzzle in the mozaic of a more peaceful world.

Teach, Learn, Share
I am open to play some songs for you, tell you more about the little but culturally rich region where I am from, share some fun travel stories, cook veggie food for you.
Would love for you to share what you appreciate most about your home area, why, which people in the area do you find interesting and why. Meeting people with passion from all walks of life and listening to them - is one of the biggest pleasures I can have in life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am an easy-going and clean guest - usually with my own sleeping bag so that you don't have to wash bed linen after.
