About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live free & brave

ABOUT ME

I've lived in Sydney for as long as I can remember, and my passion for travel really began after I studied at UCD in Ireland for a semester during university.
I think travel is like an escape - something that you experience and get easily addicted to (especially when you're sitting at an office desk all day!) ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Home is where the heart is

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a surfer I'm happy to offer my cooking, lame jokes, and friendship to my host :)
I've also been known to teach aerobics routines and give haircuts, but those are optional.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I couchsurfed was in Lisboa, Portugal in 2012 and it opened the fresh possibility of being able to travel on a shoestring.

Interests

Meeting new people :D
Non-tourism traveling - traveling with the mindset of 'doing as the locals do'
Health & fitness - I love being active and trying new foods or ways of cooking, particularly vegetarian/ vegan foods. I am predominantly vegetarian, but am still fine-tuning my moral compass on this issue!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked 12km up the mountain of Vaishnu Devi for a pilgrimage in the region of Kashmir, India. There I attended the evening prayer and walked in the freezing holy water of the Ganges river, and slept in the Bhavan nestled in the mountains.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Enthusiastic open-minded intellectual chit chat on anything
My party trick of opening a beer with a water bottle, and doing the splits (sometimes, together;)!

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Malta, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, India, Ireland
