About Me

Hello Everyone.

My Name is Shirgie, a Filipino blogger and freelancer. I just arrived here in the Philippines after more than four years of living and working in South Korea. While working there, I started a blog called http://www.saranghaekorea.com and I realized that I love to travel. I love to see what the world has in store to me and I know I can only discover that if I will travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are three reasons why I am here on Couchsurfing. First is because I want to meet new people while I am on travel. Second, I want to immerse myself in the culture of the places I am going to visit and I can only do that if I will hangout with the locals. And third, to save me up for paying for hotel rooms. haha

Interests

Writing about my travel experiences and other topics is one of my passions in life. I thought that sharing my story through writing can help me develop communication skill with other people. I am also a photo hobbyist. I love to take pictures and of course to travel and see other places and experience their culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music, I like Coldplay songs, a little bit of Justin Beiber and of course, since I am a 90s kids, I will be forever a fan of Justin Timberlake and some of the 90s boybands like westlife and backstreetboys.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I went out of my comfort zone, lived in South Korea, worked as a factory worker there for more than four years. I think that's the most amazing thing I've done in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, a little bit of Filipino culture, stories about being a Filipino trying to live in a foreign land, and a listening heart and ears.
