About Me
Hello new friends!
I am outgoing, spirited, and a little weird but I promise once you get to know me, you’ll never want me to leave your side!
All joking aside, I love traveling and am new to couch surfing. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try and I’ve finally decided to make a leap of faith! As the millennials say (which I totally am) YOLO 🤣
I am so terrible at these personal statements, so please bear with me and read the rest of my profile to get an idea of what I’m like!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ever since I discovered the concept of couch surfing, I’ve always wanted to try surfing as well a week as hosting. I’m be getting a new solo apartment soon and can host new friends, but until then, I’d like to get a feel for the community and see what it’s al about!
From the looks of it, most everyone is in it to meet new people and share the places they love the most with people who are there to appreciate just that! I want to experience that for myself, and that is why I joined CF :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 5 years old, I was at a summer camp with my family. Me, my mom, and some of the other campers went out on a row boat and rowed out to the middle of the lake. When it was time to go back to the lakeshore, the adults tried and tried but couldn’t figure out how to maneuver the boat back!
I had learned how to row a day or two prior with my sister and kept asking the adults around me to let me row. I figure they thought it was cute that the little 5-year-old girl wanted to help.
Eventually, I insisted on being allowed to row alone, and after a few more minutes of struggling to get back to shore, they ceded the oars to my young, capable hands.
I rowed a boat filled with 4-6 people (I don’t remember the exact number anymore) back to shore all on my own!
The man at the boat house was laughing hysterically, thinking it was the funniest thing that a 5-year-old girl was the only one who managed to figure out how to row a boat in the direction she wanted it to go.
Thinking about this story now, I always remind myself the power of children and how we should take the time to listen to what they say and believe in their ability to do things that might seem impossible for someone their age!

I can teach you how to cook some awesome Indian food as well as other recipes I’ve learned and tweaked to my liking over the last few years! My current favorite is goat curry and a Korean-inspired beef brisket noodle soup :D
