Overview
About Me
I'm an avid travel-loving MBA student at SDA Bocconi living in Milan (Italy). Until recently, I was living in Toronto (Canada) for 10+ years. My hometown is New Delhi (India), a very historic city with some of the best ancient architecture and flavourful street foods. I have lived in various different vibrant cultures: India, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia, Singapore. Since then, I had been working in the field of Corporate Governance (ESG/Finance) for 6 years. Now I am pursuing an MBA at SDA Bocconi - my goal is that I can contribute towards sustainable environmentally-conscious activities in the future while working in Finance.
I previously lived with my brother in a cozy condo/apartment that is located right in the heart of downtown Toronto, near happening places such as Yorkville, Kensington Market, Little Italy, the Financial District, and most importantly, the university campus where I went to school.
Having a regular career can be boring, so during the past few years I have more actively dedicated myself to exploring more unique places over time, and checking off some places on my bucket list during the process. My ultimate goal has been to connect more deeply with the beautiful planet we live in, and that involves having more meaningful conversations with people with different backgrounds during my travels. My interests when visiting a place are particularly relating to ancient civilizations and nature - I absolutely love mountains but cannot pick a clear favourite between mountains and beaches.
With the help of Couchsurfing, I intend to connect with people from across the world, and get to learn new, different things about their respective cultures, getting to make new friends in the process. This also allows me to educate people about the country I’m from (India), and hopefully encourage them to have a visit the place despite everything that they see on the internet.
Good vibes only ✈️🌍✨
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new friends, and have meaningful conversations with people from all over the world. As someone who has grown up around various different communities and cultures, I intend to spend as much time as possible understanding and learning from others who have something different to offer, so that I can give them the respect and understanding they deserve.
I believe couchsurfing, in its right spirit, offers me the platform to meet and socialize with people from various different backgrounds. Also, from my experience so far, I can confirm that CS is the best place to hear about the many fascinating travel stories travelers usually have to share.
Over the next few years, I also intend to travel frequently both to well-known and lesser-known places, and as a result, I am also hoping to connect with, and host people so that they can help make my time there even more meaningful by providing me with suggestions, hanging out with me, and perhaps, even hosting me.
Lastly, having been on Couchsurfing has been one of my favourite experiences ever, as people I previously hosted all hosted me when I traveled over the last few summers and we had the best time being travel buddies, and we all continue to keep in touch through postcards and phone calls. This speaks volumes for how amazing a platform like this can be when used in the right spirit. ✨
Looking for more such amazing friendships with time 🙌🏻

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have travelled to Khardung La, in the Indian Himalayas, which, at 5400m above sea level, was once officially recognized as the highest motorable road in the world!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to fly a drone, or how to make some Indian-style chai :) Also some Hindi words 😊 Lastly, I like to think I’m good at making the other person feel comfortable when talking to me about any topic, I try to be an active listener.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good stories, deep conversations, and quality company :) Also, postcards from across the world! I would love to show you the magnets on my fridge from over the years. Also we have a PS5 at home so we can game 🙌🏻 My brother makes the best coffee with his cool coffee machine ☕️
