About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To bring beauty through painting Nature in her red dress. Or Her overalls. It is my mission to spread joy and warmth.
ABOUT ME
I am a free spirit, looking to maybe brighten the current paradigm with the beauty I find in the wild through drawing it through me as a painter.
I'm silly, caring, philosophical and really into laughing.
I'm interested in many paths, and find my sort of "soul-homes" to be in India, Big Sur, Mendocino and Ireland.
PHILOSOPHY
I'll do the quote thing for now:
"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." -Mahatma Gandhi
“The possibility of stepping into a higher plane is quite real for everyone. It requires no force or effort or sacrifice. It involves little more than changing our ideas about what is normal.”
-Deepak Chopra
And most importantly:
"The only thing I can't resist is temptation" --Oscar Wilde
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I think couch surfing is a revolutionary idea. It contributes to world peace in that it brings the macro together on the micro level, and people get the chance to show one another trust and caring.
Interests
I love animals (have owned horses for 13 years), absolutely love cooking, all kinds of music, singing, dancing, yoga, meditation, bouldering, running/hiking, looove making bread, want to learn to make cheese and brew beer (I appreciate fine beer and wine), organic gardening, sustainable living, philosophy, metaphysics, the healing arts (I am a wilderness EMT and an aspiring wild crafter of herbs), woodworking, learning new languages...I love being alive.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen many a sky I can hardly believe.
And mountain.
I've spent some deep and memorable moments in the sublime chaos of India.
Spent a month a couple winters ago learning wilderness emergency medicine with the Tetons as my backyard--talk about having to pinch yourself to make sure it's real!
I've seen a birth, stayed up all through the night in the desert to watch the sun come up more than once, got pretty lost hiking in the Lost Coast and got to get myself out of it...
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach others about oil painting, cooking, natural horsemanship/animal "work", healing work with essential oils, herbal medicine, some emergency medicine and some sewing, embroidery and (very beginning) knitting.
Would love to learn macrame, weaving, mushroom identification/hunting skills, how to make cheese, auto mechanics, primitive survival skills, humane slaughtering, Photoshop, InDesign, and the history, anthropology and spiritual practices of as many Native American cultures as possible.
