Overview
About Me
My name is Lucie and I am a writer, observer, dreamer, lover, dancer, poet, teacher, student and citizen of the world. I fell out of the sky on an April morning in 1988 and haven't returned since, but sometimes my head drifts up to the clouds pondering it. I am still searching for my path, but deep down, I know that I am some kind of artist. I do printmaking, ceramics, watercolors, but mostly write. I can be quiet and introspective at times, but at others I burst out of my shell and become a social butterfly. I like to meet new people, to hear about their experiences and to enjoy life as much as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Right now, I am walking part of the Camino de Santiago on the Camino del Norte. I started in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France, and am currently in Orio, Spain. I am looking for some places to stay along the way, because sometimes the hostels and albergues are all full. Can I crash on your couch maybe? I'd also like to meet new people, open my heart to the world, trust in the universe, and continue on this adventure called life. Once I get established somewhere, I hope to be able to host other people and return the favor by paying it forward.
Interests
I like to write poetry and occasionally read at open mics or poetry readings.
Running is one way that I can get out of my head and cope with life, trails are best.
Intaglio and linoleum block printing are some mediums in which I have been able to express myself in recent years.
Hugs are freely given and welcomed in return.
I enjoy immersing myself in the steam of saunas. Hot-tubs and natural hot springs are equally relished.
I completed my studies in literature, and I like to read.
The sun is my source of rejuvenation and replenishment. I cannot live without it.
