ABOUT ME

I settled in Miami to go to law school after a wonderful year of traveling in. My last domicile was Portland, Oregon, a place I still have an inordinate fondness for. I love microbrews. I commute by bike, surf (the ocean kind) badly, have a fetish for books and text in general, and often enjoy just shooting the shit. My life has graced me with the opportunity to be involved in any number of goofy events such as urban golf, santacon, brides of march, pedalpalooza/ naked bike ride, urban iditarod, etc. Events of this sort, and the kinds of people who make these things happen, are dear to my heart. My current goal is to someday ride a racing ostrich.

It's turtles all the way down. I am a cynic, but I live my life as if I were not.

I've couchsurfed with a few lovely people through this site, and lots more people I have met randomly over the years. Someday, I too will have a couch I can offer.

Urban exploring. Nerding out over jurisdiction (it's fascinating, I swear). Debating astrophysics theories way beyond my ken.

Music, Movies, and Books

Current favorite authors are Paul Auster, China Meiville and M. John Harrison. Currently I enjoy movies in which people talk too much. My music taste ranges from the punk and garage rock I liked in middle school to all the DJs I am currently discovering. All of these things are prone to change at any time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam naked in the Mediterranean in the middle of the night, and the water glowed with bio-luminescent thingies.
