About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy each day as it comes.

ABOUT ME

I love reading, music, cooking, traveling and talking to people - but not the "form-filling" talks (how old are you, what do you do, blah-blah). I like going to the core.
Also I'm a nonconformist, spontaneous, love adventures, going out, laugh and have fun.
And mostly, since 2012 - I'm a mother :)

PHILOSOPHY

If the dream is better than life - I choose the dream!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a friendly, funny, and flexible person. Love hosting and talking to people, show them around etc.
As a couch surfer - I have one big advantage: I just LOVE washing the dishes! No matter how many there are, in what condition, if they are also your roommates', give me a good-sized pile of dishes in the sink, and I'll be happy to eliminate it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted many CSers on my small couch, both in my old house in Be'er Sheva, and in my current apartment in Tel-Aviv. Been surfing couches myself and hope to keep doing it.
I'd prefer CSing to a fancy hotel anytime anywhere (and not just for economical reasons)!
I think couchsurfing while traveling is a completely different experience from the standard way - the trip is much more adventurous and full of surprises - I got to places I never thought I'd get to (Gava near BCN, Nablus!) and met some amazing people!
It's a great way to bring simple, face-to-face goodness into the world :)

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of Israeli Indie music - both listen to and go to concerts. Classic Rock and Prog. And Eurovision!
Books - historical novels, non-fiction, science fiction.
Movies - with no apologies declare that I love Holywood movies. Super heroes, action, romantic comedies. And you'll be surprised by the amount of insights I find in them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those... moments will be lost in time, like tears... in rain.

Okay well I haven't seen all that (but +10 if you know where that's from :))

I did though see Saturn & its rings through a telescope - that was sooo beautiful!

and... becoming a mother to Hillel :)

Update: having my daughter Yael born in a natural VBAC birth, which started at the beach! Ask me about it😄

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a lot about transportation planning and a little bit about urban planning - it's my profession & passion.
Here's for example a guide to Israel public transit from one of my favourite bloggers:
http://israelbikebus.blogspot.co.il/p/guide-to-israel-public-transit.html
I would like to learn about, well, everything I've never heard of - new music styles, how do people live in other countries, child raising, cooking!
