I love writing, dancing and traveling. Also, eastern medicine. It's something that blows my mind and I learn from it constantly. One of my goals is to live life completely authentic to who I am, as a complete expression of the depths within me. I like to people watch and understand people. I'm endlessly intrigued by different cultures, perspectives and ways of life. There is so much depth to the traditional ways & so much wisdom & spirituality at the depths. I believe in a harmony within this world and everything flowing within that.. Each person being who we are and understanding that we are all a part of each other.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

It's a way of life. I easily connect with the kind of people who would invite strangers to sleep on their couch.

It's about the kind of world I choose to believe in. A world of kindness, where people look out for eachother.

This point really hit home for me on a recent trip, when I was passing through Dallas, Texas. I put a public trip up on couchsurfing and within a few hours started receiving invitations. It seemed every time I looked at my phone, there was another message from someone welcoming a complete stranger into their home. It's the kind of world I dream of.

What if everyone could travel, without fear or worry? What if we could just pick up and go and know that people around the world would look out for eachother?

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Visiting the small villages of tribes in northern Thailand and Cambodia. I cannot describe the feeling or peace of the simple life lived. Places where people live completely out of nature. Those homes left me awe struck.

Seeing the life in the jungles of Borneo of people who had never left the jungle. Seeing how they lived and the beauty of the untouched jungle.

I was in Nepal when the earthquake hit. As I headed to Gorkha, the epicenter, there was a huge influx of help coming from every direction. Everyone I met was coming with cars filled with food & medical supplies. It seemed like every car on the road was headed in that direction to help. There was such a strong feeling of togetherness , where I felt all of humankind was there for each other. Being a part of it was amazing.

I was fortunate to make it to Standing Rock, shortly before the evictions (Okay, during). Seeing how everyone came together like that, for a cause that's so much bigger than them was beautiful. Being a part of it during those last days was inspiring.
