Hello, I'm Shodai.
I was born and raised in Hokkaido, the northern most prefecture of Japan.
I run a small second-hand shop in Sapporo and live in my shop. One thing I have to tell you is that there is no shower and kitchen in my room. If you don`t mind, feel free to send me request. I usually go to an Onsen(Hot -spring) within walking distance and eat out.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I would rather stay with local people and make friends with them than stay at a hotel alone, because I believe getting to know the locals and experiencing their lives make travel wonderful.

Learning English is another reason why I'm on Couchsurfing. I want to have opportunities to speak English. I'd be really happy if you corrected my English and helped me become a better English speaker.

Great music and movies are indispensable to my life.
Since I heared Oasis when I was a junior high school student, Rock music has been impotant part of my life. I love the 60s rock, punk rock, hard rock, heavy metal, and anything cool. For example, I usually listen to the Beatles, the Doors, the Sex pistols, Kiss, Metallica, Nirvana ,Weezer, Nine inch nails, and so on.

Also, I'm crazy about movie. Although It's difficult to choose the best one, Stand by me, Motorcycle diaries, and My life as a dog come to mind now. Trainspotting, Ghost world ,Crash and American beauty are unforgettable too.

My favorite books are Catcher in the rye, Le petit prince, and Alchemist.
I'm a big fan of paulo coelho.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've ever visited every prefectures of Japan, so I know much about famous sightseeing spots and foods in Japan.
I'm willing to give you tips about travelling Hokkaido and other prefectures.
By the way, I did that by hitchhiking!!
This is the best experience in my life up to this point.
I took a car over 300 times, and met so many kind people. That's why I want to help travelers like many people who helped me a lot.
