About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Sink my teeth into the east coast bustle that is Melbourne (and soon, Brisbane). Play music, make art, learn theatre, get inspired and figure out how to make this capitalism thing propel me to Hamburg and Bristol next year.
ABOUT ME
I hail from Fremantle, an increasingly-gentrified hippy vestige within the sprawling road-jungle that is Perth. My parents are artists and musicians with Indian names and I haven't fallen far from the tree. My happy places include having a dance, performing , disappearing into making things, up trees and having a lol with lovely humans.
PHILOSOPHY
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
- Gandalf
"Be kind to those you love
And be kind to those you don't...
Be the best fucking humans you can be."
- Andrew Jackson Jihad
"If you have a problem, you have a problem. If you worry about it, you have two."
- my uncle
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
"Can anyone host me?"
one week later...
"Yeah, me!"
"Oh, I'm leaving now but thanks."
Haha
I'd very much like to meet people and be let into their world- in new places it always takes a while to find your way out of transient/hostel land and this sounds like an amazing in. I'd like to host people but we only have one communal room in my house which is the kitchen. We'll see though, maybe.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As above, quite little-
but, outside of this site specifically, I've stayed on a friend's fold out couch in Cork who I met at circus training in Western Australia; met a lady camping with her cat in Normandy and stayed in her apartment in Paris; and stayed in a German woman's van at a hippy community in Spain.

Music, Movies, and Books
Please recommend me books: anything that's a glimpse into someone else's experience and/or brings a new way of thinking. I like... The Well of Loneliness, Of Laughter and Forgetting, currently reading: 1984
comics: horou musuko, questionable content, girls with slingshots, tea house, sunstone, changing ways
Music: Some favourites... Tinpan Orange, Amanda Palmer, The Cat Empire, Daughter, Kavisha Mazzella, Andrew Jackson Jihad... I tend to like most things around the fringes of folk, but I'll dance around to hip hop or most anything live.
movies: fly away home, garden state, the lobster everything ghibli (especially spirited away)
tv: orange is the new black, skins
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made a fringe show with a motley bunch of creatives in a cave/tunnel by the ocean. I played a sea witch who played violin and didn't speak and the show went on even the night the generator broke and there was a storm. People cried and laughed at the dark bits and we recovered on couches with Pizza and Up. ("squirrel!")
Teach, Learn, Share
MUSIC - I play violin, guitar, sing and write songs and I'm keen to teach, learn and jam in any and all of these.
ART - I can draw from life or my head with a fountain pen to a graphics tablet. My current weapon of choice is watercolour and life drawing is the best. Drawing session? I can show you how I go about things, and please show me your artss. Also if you have any battles with a program by Adobe I can likely help.
FOOD - I cook vegetarian and am keen to learn and share the noms.
CIRCUS - I can juggle 3 balls and do a hand stand with a spot. I'm also aching to get sore on a trapeze again. Any circus shenanigans you're a part of I'm likely down to try.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Time, tea, skills, a thought, a meal, a laugh, a jam,
a dance, dishes, life aims, a list worthy of an ad campaign.
