Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to converse with and learn from other people. I often travel solo, but sometimes it's nice to meet up with fellow travelers to share new experiences.

Me gusta conversar con otros y aprender de ellos. Muchas veces viajo sola, pero siempre está bien unirse con otros viajeros para compartir nuevas experiencias.

Interests

I love learning about other cultures, cooking, baking, working out, running, watching movies, and having new experiences. I enjoy dancing bachata, salsa, kizomba, and reggaetón. I would like to learn swing.

Me encanta aprender sobre otras culturas, cocinar, hacer ejercicio, correr, ver pelis, y tener nuevas experiencias. Me gusta bailar bachata y quisiera aprender como bailar swing/lindy hop.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading books which teach me new vocabulary words and about other cultures. Some of my favorite books are The Help, Bossypants, Half of a Yellow Sun, Eat Pray Love, The Kite Runner, and Shanghai Girls.

I love watching films, mainstream and indie. I enjoy various genres including comedy, romcom, romantic, drama, sci-fi, action, thriller, etc. Some of my faves are The Giant Mechanical Man, Nacho Libre, Zoolander, The Matrix, Snowpiercer, and Prometheus.

TED Talks and online series are my vice.

Like with films, I also enjoy a variety of music styles including bachata, salsa, kizomba, techno, pop, R&B, old school hip hop, soul, funk, jazz, and some rap and rock. Some of my fave artists are Ozomatli, Julieta Venegas, Allen Stone, Juan Luis Guerra, Romeo Santos, Raquel Sofia, Goapale, Lauryn Hill, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Astro, Belanova, Bomba Estereo

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ziplining across the rain forest in La Fortuna, Costa Rica was pretty terrifying yet dope at the same time.
