About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am in the middle of a year of travel through South America (at least, but who knows where else)!

I want to try to enjoy every moment that I can. Sometimes I forget how short the time is that we have to spend

ABOUT ME

I am an eclectic mix of interests. I work a lot, and my job is REALLY important to me, but I am trying to become a working photographer as well. During the summers, I travel, draw, photograph, scuba dive. Whenever possible I try to get out into nature, as the tranquility keeps me grounded and brings me peace. Art is integral to my life, whether I'm creating or appreciating it. Travel gives me reason to get up in the morning. I draw, and I walk a lot, and I try to remember what is really important in this world, since it is so easy to forget.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short--and I try and remind myself of this all the time just to keep me grounded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My job is really demanding, so I usually leave the house around 7am, so unfortunately if you stay with me, you'd have to be out early! Also, please try to arrive by 9pm.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am happy to say that I have had only GREAT couchsurfing experiences. I was hosted in Porto, Portugal; Santiago, Spain; Marrakech, Morocco; Montpellier, France; and Kauai, Hawaii. All really kind, generous and fun hosts. I have hosted a lot of people recently, and have had nearly all positive experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably my most memorable moment was when I was doing Habitat for Humanity in New Mexico. We woke up REALLY early to attend one of their famous balloon festivals. As the sun rose, the hot air balloons slowly filled and rose into the sky. It was an amazing sight. To make it even better, someone invited me into their balloon, and I got to see the world from a floating balloon!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a very considerate and responsible surfer. I clean up after myself (and then some) and like to make a nice vegetarian dinner after a long stay! Aside from that, I love to make people laugh, and have lots of pictures and drawings to share from my adventures
