Hi! My name is Shoshana, I am 26 years old and am originally from Washington DC. However, I have spent the past several years living/working/traveling in Italy, Australia, and a few countries South East Asia.

I work in Non-Profit Development, so basically helping organizations get to funding they need to successfully implement their projects. It's something I really love doing, and for me, it is a really rewarding field.

I have been back in the US for a few months now, but have decided to take a few months off, and head back over to enjoy and explore Europe some more. Possibly even pick a new country to work in for a bit!

To meet and learn from new people and cultures and to take advantage of the opportunity Couchsurfing gives us to learn about places from the people who live there themselves.

Interests

I really enjoy photography and urban exploration (so like exploring/photographing old abandoned buildings). Also, yoga, my mom is a yoga instructor we've been doing yoga since we could walk. I also love to cook and learn about cuisine in general. I definitely think sitting around a table with great food and some drinks is one of the best ways to get to know people.

Music, Movies, and Books

For books Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut, Enough by Alice McDermott and Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman. Also the movie Practical Magic, Donnie Darko, and Mulan. When it comes to music I really enjoy everything, although one of my favorite artist whose albums I never get tired of is Fleetwood Mac.
