About Me

Hello fellow travelers!

I'm Shoubhik, a passionate traveler with an insatiable wanderlust. I've explored 19 states across the diverse and vibrant landscape of India, each journey adding a unique chapter to my travel diary. As an advanced trekker, I've conquered around 25 treks till date, always seeking the thrill and serenity of the mountains.
Meeting new people and diving into different cultures is what fuels my travels. I believe that the best way to understand a place is through its people, traditions, and stories. I'm always eager to share experiences, exchange stories, and make new friends along the way.
In addition to my love for travel and trekking, I dabble in videography, capturing the essence of my journeys to relive and share those precious moments. I prefer traveling on a low budget, embracing raw and authentic experiences that truly connect me with the soul of a destination.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe in the power of genuine human connections and the beauty of shared experiences. Traveling for me is not just about visiting new places, but about immersing myself in the local culture, meeting fascinating people, and creating unforgettable memories. Couchsurfing provides the perfect platform to do just that.
Moreover, I love hosting and meeting travelers from all over the world. It’s a wonderful way to bring the world into my home and create lasting friendships.

Interests

I trek a lot wherever I get opportunity. I try to travel slow, meeting the locals, trying local drinks, engaging in local activities. I always try to explore each part around the globe, but love to be on mountains than anything else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Exploring Northeast India was the most amazing thing, I had done till date. It is one of the most beautiful parts of the Indian Subcontinent. The people of the Northeast are so warm welcoming and respectful. The food is very different healthy and unique. The beauty of nature is just inexpressible in words. There are a lot of unexplored and untouched treks to do. The best one I did were Double Decker Root Bridge Trek and Dzukou Valley, those are the popular ones, there are a lot unpopular ones too. Visiting Nongjrong was the best decision. It is an untouched village in Meghalaya, with very unique traditions and beauty.
