CURRENT MISSION

Very simple, To travel the world meet as many people as possible do as many crazy things and maybe meet the perfect person and place to settle, all before I'm 35 years old!

I'll leave the above in and just update where I'm at - no longer travelling the world and mostly settled with my partner Fiona . We still enjoy travelling, but now holidays together.

ABOUT ME

I don't like doing this, it always sounds like an advert in a lonely hearts column.
Ok... so I will try almost anything once, always willing to try new things, meet new people. I think i'm fairly laid back and easy going, I will do my best to get along with everyone even if maybe I don't agree with everything they say. I like to talk and to share ideas, and stories. i'm always doing something! I find it hard to keep still, I'm definitely active!

PHILOSOPHY

As far as we know we only live once, so I have every intention of making the most of it, seeing and experiencing as many different places, countries and cultures as possible, and meeting as many different people as possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have previously travelled a lot with couchsurfing, but am now more settled. My parents still host on my behalf. When traveling and my aim is meet as many people in the world as possible to share thoughts, feelings and experiences with people, and to talk, the world would be a better place if we all talked more to the people around us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed all over the place, in Canada, NZ, S America,... Now travelling with my girlfriend of 6 years, who hasn't couchsurfed on her own although she has had her own backpacking experience.

Interests

Travelling is my first love! RUGBY is VERY close behind! I like to try to understand and to experience the culture and the way of life in different countries, the different political and ethical views and try to pull the world together as friends. A great way to do this i always find is partying, alcohol is a great social lubricant.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could talk for hours on this! Basicly, Movies, anything that brings into question our perseption of the world and what we see as the "norm" Movies that make you think.
Music, from Folk to Heavy Matal, Classical to Hiphop, a little R+B and some club, I will give anything a listen.
Books, "To Kill a Mocking Bird" is Amazing, and a "Thousand Splendid Suns" is also an amazing book. Most recently I have found enjoyment in non-fiction, biographies, that sort of thing.
