Outside of work, I am someone who loves thrilling adventures like paragliding and exploring new experiences. I feel most alive when I am close to nature and animals—I enjoy life in its raw and simple form.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hello Friends,

I am Shoyeb, originally from India. I recently came to Dubai on a visit visa with the hope of finding a job, as my family is going through financial difficulties. By God’s grace and with a lot of effort, I was lucky enough to get a job at Etisalat Telecommunications within a month, and I officially started working on 15th aug 2025. I felt so relieved and hopeful that finally things were starting to get better.

But just Today (17th August 2025 at 4 PM), I received a sudden call from my company informing me that I have to shift my work location to Abu Dhabi and report there the very next morning. This was completely unexpected for me.

I had already planned and budgeted carefully for my stay in Dubai until my first salary, but now because of this emergency transfer, my budget has collapsed. I already paid rent here in Dubai, which I won’t get back, and unfortunately, I don’t have enough left to afford hotel stays in Abu Dhabi (which cost around 100 AED per night).

At this moment, what I truly need is just a kind temporary stay for a few days in Abu Dhabi, so I can search and arrange a bed space or shared room near my new job location. The company has not yet told me the exact area where I will be placed, so it might take 5–7 days for me to settle everything properly.

If anyone can kindly host me for even a short time, I would be truly grateful. Even any information, suggestions, or guidance about affordable places to stay in Abu Dhabi would mean a lot to me, as this is my first time here and I don’t know anyone.
