Hello!
I come from the city of Mumbai (better known as Bombay) in India, where I was born and brought up.
Currently, I am on an academic exchange in the IESEG school of Management in Lille, France. Having arrived here in August 2016, my 'sejour' is very quickly drawing to its end. I am, therefore, in a mad frenzy of travelling to as many European cities as possible. During my stay here, I have visited countries in East, south and North Europe, and have come to understand that unlike what most people say, Europe is not composed of uni-cultural people, but of greatly varying ones.
Before I go back home, I wish to take a trip to the UK and end my European experience with a bang!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

During my first semester in Lille, I lived with French host parents and those 4 months taught me that there is no better way to know a city and its culture than living it through local people and their stories. And Couchsurfing lets me do exactly that!
My passion for travel, which has only been heightened by this exchange year, now looks to be fed only by the pleasure of an authentic cultural experience. I am on courchsurfing because I want to settle for nothing lesser than that.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Like most people with an internet connection, my interests amongst TV shows are always changing. I am currently binge-watching Modern Family and Criminal Minds. Besides these, I have watched SitComs and Drama series like FRIENDS (an all time favourite), Big Bang Theory, The Simpsons, House of Cards, The Newsroom, The West Wing, Sherlock (OF COURSE!), Castle, Lie to Me and White Collar.
I prefer to watch than to read, but there are books that even I wouldn't miss like 1984, Animal Farm, Pride and Prejudice.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Yesterday I went shopping for my 1-year-old cousins and managed to not spend all the money I have in my bank account. But I am sure that's not what this questions demands..!
In my opinion, the most amazing this I have done is weight loss. I used to be extremely fat (72 kgs, which is quite heavy considering my ideal weight is 56). I brought it down to 56 in 6 months, and have been able to sort of stay around the same number for over 2 years now. It's amazing to me because it made me a much more confident person.

I love to talk, get to know people, tell them about my experiences and learn ew languages. The best things, therefore, that I can share with my hosts are curiosity and a lively discussion about anything that interests them and me.
