About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Idealistically, I'd love to save the world... but who doesn't, right?
ABOUT ME
I'm a vibrant American girl who is silly enough to move to England on a whim! I just graduated from the University of Colorado in my hometown of Boulder and thought it was time to put myself back into the traveling scheme while I've still got the time to do it. Since I'm currently living in England with a nice local family, I'm unable to host any couchsurfers here, but I'd love to meet up and attend events in the areas I'll be traveling! And of course, I may need a couch myself every once and a while... :)
PHILOSOPHY
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of my personal philosophy is to endure. Endure and overcome! I've recently been through some tough times, but my natural optimism never seems to fail me. To endure is to live, and to live is to change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I really love the idea of being able to access a different community so easily. If you want to travel somewhere, and you don't know anyone there, this site provides friendly locals who want to help you! It's like having an extended family that spreads across the world! I love that. And I hope I can become an important part of all this couchsurfing!
Interests
I have a lot of random interests! I can be interested in anything for at least 2 minutes if it's something new to me. But I just love learning in general. (Does learning count as an interest?) I'm always enrolled in some sort of class it seems, even out of university. I also enjoy writing a bit, here and there, and of course photography. (But who doesn't love taking pictures?) I really enjoy reading poetry, and my favorite poet of all time is Rilke. So if you like Rilke too (or even if you just know of him!) we are automatically best friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went dog sledding through the Jura region of France once. There was one day when it was so foggy you could barely see the dogs in front of you. I'll never forget that feeling of gliding through the fog, and having no idea where you are or where you're going. I found it all a bit symbolic! Another amazing place I've been is the ruins of Teotihuacan in Mexico. Mexico in general is just amazing. Mexico was my first voyage away from the States. It definitely sparked my travel bug and gave me the courage to travel wherever I pleased!
