Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interests

Well, it would be easier to list all things that I'm NOT interested in... Anyway, let me try:

Aviation: flight simulation, plane spotting. I'm on my way to becoming a civil pilot!
Backpacking: no wonder! :) Current dream destinations: Mongolia (check!), North Korea (check!), Niue island.
Math, programming, data science: I feel lucky to love what I mostly do.
Photography: need a good shot? I'm in.
Playing drums, sometimes also the piano and [bass] guitar: wanna jam?
Mountaineering, trekking, rock climbing, running: one of the reasons for backpacking.
Skateboarding and snowboarding: yet another one.
Running: another one, and also a perfect way to explore new cities or areas.
Cooking: let me do this for you, please.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I follow the "scientific" approach to music: exploring various genres to get all the diversity of the modern music. However, I do listen to the music I play, which is mostly jazz, soft rock and more recently Breton folk. Plus indie, Russian & British folk and classics.
To name a few: RHCP, Phoenix, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Seth Lakeman.

Movies: these are mostly Russian ("Шапито-шоу" и "Родина", скажем). But let me mention "Intouchables" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel".
