ABOUT ME

Hello, Kia Ora, Bonjour.

My name is Sam but my friends call me Shrugs. I'm 31 and I am a self employed interior plasterer, designer and artist from New Zealand and I have been living in France for the last 9 months.

I love meeting new people because I love to learn about different cultures, ideologies and ways of living life.

I love to share who I am with others. I am really looking forward to this new adventure, and potentially going on adventures with you!

I love backgammon! I take my travel board with me everywhere!

Mon français n'est pas très bien, mais je peux parle et comprends un peu. I am currently learning, so if you can speak French and you have the time to practice with me I would really appreciate it!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I hosted many people when I lived in Raglan, New Zealand which is a very popular but small surf town on the west coast. I met and made friends with so many lovely humans from all over the world. I will be travelling Europe to reconnect with the people who stayed with me, but also looking to make new friends, memories and share all sorts of exciting experiences. I am open minded and I like to live life to the fullest. I love people who are different from me and I can learn a lot from them.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Going to Kiwiburn (New Zealands regional burning man event) by myself, not knowing what is was or what to expect. Walking in open minded and coming out a changed human. I met so many wonderful people who became extended family members. Since this experience my life has become full of adventures and joy!
