About Me

Born in China, my family migrated to Singapore when I was 11. I completed my education up to high school in 2012, with a keen interest towards the sciences.
Having gone through 2 years of mandatory national service in the military, I am now a student at the National University of Singapore, majoring in chemistry with a minor in nanoscience.
After graduation (which would be in 2019), I would be entering into the sector of public education and teaching at the secondary (middle) & high school levels.

I love to learn, my interests are in the sciences and world history.
I like to be active, my favourite sports are running, ultimate and badminton.
I am an extroverted introvert. While I normally travel alone, I also enjoy meeting and making new friends, and learning about one another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a favourite song, but I prefer to listen to classical music.
My favourite movie is "Interstellar", directed by Christopher Nolan and released in 2014. The plot is intriguing and self-consistent, it also contains a good mix of actual science and science fiction.
My favourite book is the "Mistborn" trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. The setting within the book is novel and the trilogy has one of the most mind-blowing plots I have ever come across.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to have intellectual discussions about science & technology, history & culture and travel experiences.
I would like to learn about anything I don't know, and that's quite a long list.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Singapore and Singaporean food. Owing to its small size, many people have not heard of the country at all. But like every other country, Singapore has its own interesting and unique culture.
