I’m Shubham Bhardwaj, currently a second year doctoral (PhD) student at National Astronomical Observatory of Japan in Mitaka, Tokyo. I have been living in Tokyo since October 2022. I embrace life as an exciting adventure, always seeking new avenues for joy, learning new things, and exploration. The journey ahead remains uncertain, but I approach it with a dynamic spirit, orchestrating the flow of experiences much like tuning the strings of a guitar. I listen to my heart more than my mind, trusting that it leads to correct, sensible, and reasonable decisions. The future is a canvas awaiting vibrant strokes, and I am eager to paint it with the hues of curiosity and enthusiasm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Frankly a friend of mine referred me about Couchsurfing, but when I got to know about this I think this can provide me an opportunity to meet and connect with diverse, kind and extraordinary people that I might not encounter in my everyday routine. And since I am very friendly in nature and can connect with people very easily, so this place is gonna be more fun and the best place to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love old vintage Bollywood music. I love some English songs as well but I am all the time down for old vintage Bollywood music. I wanted to learn a musical instrument like guitar or drums.

Movies: I love both Bollywood and Hollywood movies and other genre movies like Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Italian. I mostly like action, suspense, horror, romantic movies. Huge Marvel movies fan. Love Kdrama.

Books: mostly I like to read science books or science fiction books, detective fiction, mystery, fiction. Although I haven’t read much of them 😅😅😂. But I am eager to read them as much as I can 😄.

Used the Japanese telescope located in Hawaii, USA for astronomical observations for the first time in my life.
Embarked on my inaugural ice skiing experience.
Embarked on road trips exploring various locations on a bike.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Language (Hindi and English), Astronomy, physics, mathematics, Indian food cooking.

Learn: curious and open to learn, explore and discover anything I don’t know to expand my knowledge and experience. Looking forward to learn guitar or drums or cooking different cuisine.

Share: Hindu culture, Indian food, Indian music, laughter, stories, shayari (kinda poetry) and whatever knowledge I have in general about life philosophical or academically.
