Hi, My name is Huang, Hsiang-Yun, a girl from Taipei, Taiwan, majoring in Chinese Literature and having double major in Marketing. I am an active girl with smiles and always anxious to try anything that I have never done! During my college life, I got CPR and First Aid Certifications, Bronze Medal Award in National Classical Chinese Literature Reciting Competition, and the opportunity to go to Konstanz University in Germany as an exchange student in 2015. I will never stop my step to improve myself and try more and more interesting thing and learn from it! My ambition is to convey the difficult-understanding core in Chinese culture to people from all walks of life by business skills. Moreover, it is also welcome to share and discuss different culture experience with each other. We can both make progress and come up with some new creative ideas. I live in Konstanz, a lovely border town in South Germany. You can not only enjoy your summer here with beautiful Lake Konstanz (or so called Borden Lake) and flourishing mountain, but also involve yourself in this historical town. The unique location makes you convenient to travel to Swiss, France, Austria, and Black forest in Germany.

Welcome to couchsurf in my home. I provide an EXCHANGE IDEAS couch so please do spend time chatting with me. Also I provide you dinner so that we can eat together and share our ideas.;)) Before sending request, DO READ through my house rules and please follow them. It’s nothing but mutual respect.

What I can provide

1. A shared room. I can provide you floor in my room, but you need to bring your own sleep bag or anything can make you sleep better. My bed is not big enough.

2. A bathroom. You can take a shower there but also bring your own toiletry and other essentials. I live in a flat with another 1 German girl and 2 German boys but don’t worry! We have two separated bathrooms, one for girls and the other for boys.

3. A delicious dinner. Having dinner together is a chance to have a chat or teaching. I will provide delicious dinner for you. I hope you can feel great and cozy in my house.

4. A friendly and extrovert feminine host. I really want to make friends with you and of course, if you treat me as your friend it will be more comfortable to live in my house. Moreover, if I have time, I can show you around the city, bring you to meet my friends, and go to a local party.

What you should follow:

1. Do spend time having a chat with me! ;)) The field can be…

A. What you find in culture difference (not just your travel experience, but how you learn from your trip)

B. History/Policies/Economics/News in your country; just illustrate culture. It depends on your proficient field.

C. Teach me to speak German better

D. Your career experience. I want to know the core of different job and how it run. For example, how can family-owned business in Germany become so powerful? How your company organize? Hierarchy system and management information system (MIS). Or some great marketing ideas like Mini Cooper succeed to recover its brand…etc.

E. What you think it will be great but I didn’t mention above.

***Do write what you want to share with me in more detailed. This is the most important essential that determine whether I will accept you or not. I will ignore every copy and paste request. ***

2. Bring one souvenir from your country to me. It don’t have to be expensive. Just represent your country is good enough, for example: a postcard of your country with your words to me. I want to keep it to remind me that I have hosted you. ;))

3. Bring your own sleep bag or anything can make you sleep better.

4. Bring your own toiletry and other essentials. Sorry it will be a problem for me if everyone wants to borrow my stuff. There is a DM near my house. If you need them, you can buy them easily.

5. You need to buy your own food except dinner. Also, don’t just take the food in house without asking.

6. Don’t take anything which is not belong to you.

7. Keep everything clean and back to the original place immediately after using.

8. If you break anything, you should PAY for it. Please be careful and treasure them. :)

9. Check every your belonging is packed before leaving. Please understand I can’t send your belongings back. To mail them far way is too expensive for me.

10. You can stay in my house only if I am there. If I go out, you need to go out as well. But don’t worry, normally I stay in my house at night. If I have some activities, you are always welcome to go with me. ;)

11. Come back before 24:00 and sleep before 1:00. This is the maximum I can wait. I am not a night cat. :’(

12. You can wake me up to say goodbye with me if you need to leave in the early morning at your last day in Konstanz. It’s so important to me and I will miss you so much. ;))

13. If your mother tongue is Chinese, please do your best to speak English with me. I want to practice English and I believe you want to do that too because you spend so much time and money to here.

14. No smoking.
