Hello! My name is Lin. Nice to meet you!
I'm Chinese. I spent the first 21 years in China. At some point, I felt that was not the life I wanted, and I needed something different and new. I moved to Amsterdam and started my second bachelor's degree at a university in 2020. Amsterdam brought me friends who changed who I was before, and I've been surrounded by love since then. I have traveled to many places in Europe with them and have always enjoyed the mix of cultures of my friend group. I graduated with my master's in Econometrics in July, and now I have the biggest trip ever in my life! I can not live without music! I love dancing in Bachata, salsa, Merengue, and Arabic dance! I want to become a professional belly dancer in the future!

Soy de China y pasé los primeros 21 años en China. En algún momento sentí que esa no era la vida que quería y necesitaba algo diferente y nuevo. Me mudé a Ámsterdam y estudie en una universidad en 2020. He viajado a muchos en Europa con mi amoges y siempre disfrutado la cultural y las amistads. Me gradué de mi estudiande en Econometría en julio y ¡ahora tengo el viaje más grande de mi vida! ¡No puedo vivir sin musica! ¡Me encanta bailar bachata, salsa, merengue y árabe! ¡Quiero convertirme en bailarina del árabe profesional en el futuro! Estoy aprendiendo español en puedo tener conversacions basica.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my first time using couch surfing, so I'm sorry there is no reference. I'm traveling solo to the Dominican Republic and Cuba in August and September. I love music and dancing. Bachata and salsa are the biggest reasons I'm traveling to these countries; I would love to experience the original culture of the dance. I am here because I would love to talk with locals and make friends from other cultures! I don't like to lay on the beach the whole day and go to expensive restaurants. For me, traveling is for connecting with the world and people! I'm always curious to see how people live their lives in other places, and I always get inspired by different stories! Also, If you could introduce me to some local dancing spots, it would be amazing! Life is short, let's dance :D

Esta es la primera vez que uso Couch Surfing, así que perdonar que no haya ninguna referencia. Viajo solo a República Dominicana y Cuba en agosto y septiembre. Amo la música y bailar muchisima. La bachata y la salsa son las principales razones por las que viajo a estos países, por que yo quiero experimentar la cultura original del baile. ¡Estoy aquí porque me encantaría hablar con locals y hacer amigos de otras culturas! No me gusta estar todo el día tumbado en la playa e ir a restaurantes caros. ¡Para mí viajar es conectar con el mundo y las personas! Siempre tengo curiosidad por vives diffrente. ¡y siempre me inspiro con diferentes historias! Además, si pudieras presentarme algunos lugares de baile locales, ¡sería increíble! La vida es corta, bailemos :D

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music at the moment is "Me Muero de Amor" by "Joan Soriano", and "Haramt Ahebak" by "Warda".
My favorite movie is a Hong Kong movie, "Lust, Caution". It is about a beautiful but very sad story.
I love books by “Sanmao”. She's a Taiwanese writer who traveled the world and lived beautifully for her life.
