About Me

Cosmopolite and devoted tea drinker.

Having a dream of visiting South America one day to learn about indigenous cultures of that region.
Another dream is to make utopia come true by developing oneself and the world around by spreading the vibes of compassion and pacifism.

I'd describe myself as an outgoing, cheerful and active person, though responsible, logical, flexible and enthusiastic. However if I'm too busy with work or studies I might look a bit too serious, but usually it goes away after a couple of minutes of good quality chat :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd wish to share experience and joy with other people while traveling, especially by meeting locals and exploring underground places which are usually left unspotted. Basically, in my personal understanding CS is more of a philosophical movement, the goals of which is to socialize and cooperate, make new friends and explore the universe through the prism of passion to the whole planet, its inhabitants and wonders of the nature.

Interests

Nowadays, besides enjoying myself at work and self-educating in various fields, I don't have a lot of spare time, but of course there is always a chance to find free time for hobbies and creative activities :)

I'm interested in photography, reading and writing (short stories on philosophical as well as psychological and environmental topics), painting (having exhibitions once in a while), watching movies and slowly working on my personal animation and video projects.

Some years ago I started caring more about healthy way of life and sustainability, so I spend a lot of spare time exploring these topics and experimenting with my own life choices (for example nutrition).

Truly enjoy reading a lot and different genres. Lately I've been getting familiar with a lot of professional literature on movie-making, animation and design topics, but of course classics always have a place in my heart and time in the schedule.
An incomplete list of favourite authors: Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Sergei Dovlatov, Patrick Suskind, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Franz Kafka, Ernest Hemingway, Milan Kundera, Tove Jansson, William S. Burroughs, Charles Bukowski, Erlend Loe.

I'm warning - I'm sort of a movie freak 😂 Not only because of my professional field, but due to interest I'm watching a lot of classical and avant-garde movies.
Soulmate directors are: Andrey Tarkovski, Aki Kaurismäki, Jim Jarmusch, Ingmar Bergman, Sergei Paradzhanov, Luis Beñuel, Federico Fellini, David Lynch, Alfred Hitchcock, Quentin Tarantino.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have seen an incredibly beautiful sunset in the westernmost point of Europe - Roca Cape 🌅
