ABOUT ME

My 2nd year in university doing architecture, i figured it really wasnt what i wanted from life. So i left on a leave of absence at the end of year 2 sem 2.

While idling my time away, i figured i have the time now and since it's been something i've always wanted to do even before i entered uni, am finally heading on a working holiday trip in New Zealand !

I would prefer to read a book and chill out than party the night away. Though it really depends on the person i'm with. Can be pretty shy i guess, but once warmed up, you'll be wishing that i kept more to myself. Ha.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have only surfed a few times, in New Zealand and Seoul. I've been busy with my current job nowadays, so its no longer as easy, but i do love to meet and show travellers around when I can.

Interests

Food. Yum. I'm willing to try (almost) anything. As long as it's delish. (:

I enjoy culture and would love to know more about it. Have taken a course in Chado (Japanese tea ceremony), learnt to play Javanese and Balinese gamelan as well as traditional Thai instruments. The profound history behind things always blows me away.

Languages are special to me and i take joy in learning them. Although how successful i am at it is another matter altogether ! Hahaha.

Art and Design.
There is something in beauty that is so profound that it makes my heart tremble.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music. I listen to pretty much all genres as long as it's pleasant. Really anything from Enya to Nightwish to Nujabes to John Mayer to Base Ball Bear to Joe Hisaishi. Javanese gamelan and traditional Thai instrumental have a special place in my heart as well.

Books. I like writers with good prose, good plots and good character development. Then again, who doesnt. Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, Haruki Murakami, Picture of Dorian Gray, 1984 are some of my favourite writers/books.

Manga/anime. I prefer manga to anime. Somehow, the pacing that manga offers is often superior to their anime adaptations. FMA is love.

Compared to the things i've read about people doing, my life just feels so dull ! People, help me make it more amazing please !

Pretty much anything that i can offer. Would love to pick up new languages, new skills, whatever too.
