Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet adventurous, genuine, intelligent, fun people who love life, have a curious mind and have a good conversation with them and hope that they will inspire me to travel more in my life and get out of my comfort zone!!!

Interests

Travel, watching movies,sketching and sewing. I like the idea of creating things with my own hands so i try to do a lot of DIY stuff. I have been learning French for a couple of years now so i always look forward to meet french people (or native French speakers) who would like to help me get better at the language. Recently, I have started learning Italian so i would like to meet people from Italy too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favourite movies are Court, Run Lola Run, Beach, Kill Bill, Mr & Mrs Iyer, Mudhal Mariyadai, Vedam Pudidu, Office Space, Holiday, Persepolis, Departures (Japanese) among others. I like some songs by Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, RHCP, Lily Allen, Kings of Convenience, Usha Uthap, Sonu Nigam, Mohit Chauhan, French band Brigitte etc... I like reading comics and children's books. Anything simple and funny like cartoon/ illustrations. My all time favourite books are that of Roald Dahl and Jean Jacques Sempe. Also, love Alice in Wonderland. A book that i recently enjoyed reading (oh well! actually it made me cry) was The Kite Runner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got stranded in the middle of the night in Malshej Ghat with a friend. Was the consequence of a really really badly planned trip. Hitchhiked with a truck driver. Couldn't find a hotel so ended up spending the night with the truck drivers family and cows at his tiny hut which was in the middle of a sugarcane field and was surrounded by thousands of fireflies. (I wouldn't really recommend to you to travel in this manner or hitchhike in India).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to make chapatis or rotis (Indian bread).
I can teach you how to drape a saree.
I can probably even teach you few Bharatanatyam moves.

I'am always eager to learn new things especially about different culture and cuisine. I would like to meet people who can help me improve my French and Italian.
