About Me
Hi all!
Silas here...but all my friends call me Si. After finsihing a post graduate program in GIS at the University of Washington Seattle i decided to travel the world before i go home and find a job. Oh, GIS involves mapping and spatial analytics. I like making maps, looking at maps and generally all things map related :-)
When im not making maps you can find me running. I did my first marathon in June and hope to run many more. Im also an avid bread baker. Sourdough is the name of the game for me in that regard. I've also been learning spanish for the past 6 months and am conversational and look forward to continuing to learn more. I'm also pracicing German. Aside from that i enjoy reading and hiking. I grew up in the flatlands of the U.S. so anytime i see mountains i get excited.
As of right now i'm exicted to continue exploring the world, connecting with new people and being amazed by all the things i have never experienced along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couchsurfing is an awesome way to meet new people and get a unique experience by actually seeing how people live in the place your traveling.
I have always tried to host friends and acquaintances on my couch and have been lucky enough to couch surf many times as well.
I love the community and experiences of doing couchsurfing!
