About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style.
ABOUT ME
Dan: Finishing my final year of college in Nottingham after a rather large dispute with my college in Spain, courses start September 2010. I was born in Edinburgh, my Dad is Brazilian with Spanish heritage and my mother is Scottish. Quite a mix, I know haha. As for my personallity; I'm quite amicable and I try to see the best in people. I feel strongly about quite a lot of things as well as having quite a passionate nature. Es el sangre latino, no lo puedo escapar jaja. I love to crack a joke and have a laugh. That raises the question of whether or not I'm funny. People say I'm a "nice" guy whatever that means. Anyway, I think I'll let you form your own opinion of me =)
Sian: I'm starting at The Queens Medical College, The University of Nottingham in September after a hell of a year with a broken knee. Born and raised on a farm in Wales and yes I have heard almost every single joke in the book about sheep. I'm a fully qualified life guard, only ever had to make one save in my 3 years of working. Once I get my degree I would love to be able to work on the "lifeline express" and travel the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Worse things happen at sea.
Mi casa es su casa.
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.

Interests
Dan: I love literature and by that I mean writing as well as reading. I live and breathe everything from Camus and Sartre to Eliot right through to Pinter. I would die a happy man if one of my works received a fraction of their success. Apart from that I absolutely love my football. Aficionado del Barça, sempre culé. Music and film are big on the list too, especially film. Another passion of mine is food; the cooking and eating but lately I really am becoming obsessed with cooking. I would love to cook for anybody kind enough to let us surf with them. Needless to say I absolutely love travelling and learning from new people and cultures, I live to learn and expand my perspective. I could go on and on but I'll leave it there just to give you an idea. I'm also a real poker fan and I play No Limit Hold Em and Omaha. NLHE is definately my game and I've now clocked 4 years of experience (longer than I should have been as you will have realised lol).
Sian: Playing guitar and piano, composing music, travelling, dancing 'til my feet hurt, cooking/eating good food, cleaning, photography, the beach.
