ABOUT ME

My first real overseas travelling experience was in 2014, where I travelled solo through Europe for six months and had the time of my life! I try to travel every opportunity i get and have had a few big trips since! I've just finished my final exams for my bachelor of health science (nutrition major) so am having a sneaky 3 week trip to NZ before I graduate in December!!
I am a very curious person, so always want to know what things are, how they work etc and am also very interested in learning about and experiencing new cultures. I am normally always happy and enthusiastic (i also laugh a lot) and am easy to get along with. I love interacting with new and interesting people and having good conversations and a good time in general.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed a lot whilst in Europe and Brazil and have also hosted back home in Brisbane! I'm now hoping to couchsurf on my New Zealand/Australia trip as much as I can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some wonderful experiences through couchsurfing. I could not have asked for better hosts, always so kind and friendly...ive made some great friends! I have also met up/hung out with people who haven't been able to host me and had a great time. I also hosted some great couchsurfers in my sharehouse which was equally rewarding...and even sent a few of the special ones to go stay with my parents on the beautiful gold coast!

Interests

I am interested in many many things! I love nature and the outdoors...hiking, rockclimbing, camping, mountains, waterfalls, the beach, swimming, lakes, rain forests (and exploring). I also really like seeing new places and wandering around old cities. I am very interested in history, however don't know much at all...but am always interested in learning and finding out new things! Photography is something I'm getting more and more interested in the more i travel. I do enjoy partying too and it is great to do sometimes but it isn't my main motivation for travelling (unlike a lot of people my age). I am also super interested in people...i love meeting and talking to new people, one of my highlights of my travels so far is all the truly amazing people I have met and spent time with, whether for a few minutes, hours or days!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Why pick one when life is full of millions of amazing things?!
~Snorkeling within a metre of wild Humpback Whales in Australia (I love whales!)
~Reaching the top of a 5530m mountain in the Peruvian Andes, but then getting snow blindness and having to ride a donkey blind from base camp to safety!
~Hiking the 'TMB' - Tour Du Mont Blanc...180km hiking and camping through the alps in France, Italy and Switzerland!
~Hiking/camping (& hitchhiking) part (12 days) of the Lycian Way in Turkey alone
