About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do what I can, whilst I can, with what I've got, to help improve the world.

ABOUT ME

I love a good laugh, the best days are when I am reduced to tears from laughing so much.

I like to think myself as polite... please and thankyous cost nothing but are worth so much.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.

Attitude is the difference between an ordeal and an adventure.

If it's not a good time, it will probably be a good story.

A positive mental attitude is the key to happiness.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, don't forget to stop and smell the flowers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosted during our Eurotrip 2013 with one of my best friends.

I met a housemate through Couchsurfing, so it saved my skin when I moved to a new country (France) I hope I can repay that in the future....

I used Couchsurfing as a forum to meet new people whilst I was travelling and living in Spain.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some really interesting people. It's so cool to have been shown a place from a local's perspective. I like being thrown in the deep end with like-minded people, and to have the opportunity to make friends around the world.

Interests

It's hard to make a list here that doesn't sound generic... I love travelling, festivals and partying, good conversations with strongly-minded people, walking to music, learning, taking time to be creative, writing (badly though), reading, hiking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? I'm slowly learning to appreciate the beauty in every single day (even when things are going wrong.)

In which case my most amazing thing is 3 month volunteer placement in Bangladesh with VSO ICS in 2015. I learnt more than I ever imagined about the world, people and myself during that trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always eager to learn!

What I Can Share with Hosts

First of all, a cup of tea! I can share a meal, a conversation, my playlist, a recommendation of a book...

Most importantly though I look forward to sharing experiences and making memories because, really it's all just one big adventure and you never really know what's around the corner so you have to make the most of every special, sparkling moment.
