This is Siddharth. Originally from Chennai, India, I am currently a software developer at Microsoft, Seattle. A big time coffee addict, I am mostly an outdoorsy and extroverted guy.

A geek of sorts with a keen ear for music. I love to explore places, people and different cultures. I started travelling quite late in life, and am trying to make up for it 😅!

I enjoy making friends with people from a different upbringing and culture than mine. That is when I feel we move closer to the common string that connects us all.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I do not want a constant life. I want it to be full of varied, enthralling experiences. And for me, it is always the people more than the travel. Even when I travel, what I enjoy more is the company of the people I am with. And then Couchsurfing happened to me! Kudos to Casey Fenton who built this idea !

I am new to this community and want to connect with as many couch-surfers as possible.

You would almost always find me engrossed with maths, tech, music, business or watching animal documentaries(coz I simply love animals too much).
I always dream of giving back to the society in a big way. Those are the principles my parents imbibed in me. And my interests carry the same tone.

I cannot term a favorite when it comes to music. Every time you think this is the best, there's always another to pin it down...haha!I listen to songs of various kinds:English, Bollywood, Spanish, French and so on...and I love all of them.From the English ones, I love Beatles,Nirvana and Bon Jovi and in Spanish:Ricky Martin.

Movies..my all time favourite..Jurassic Park! and I generally love the action genre(Avatar,Titanic,Avengers..) because Hollywood nails it every time.It looks so much real.And of late ,yes Mr.Nolan(Dark Knight,Inception,Interstellar aka mindblown) has become my favorite.

Unfortunately, I liked science so much, I never explored fiction and now I don't get the time! Hoping to start on a reading spree...but I know it will be completely new to me.

Cracked the IIT-JEE! Considered one of the toughest exams all over the world with an acceptance rate of only 2%..I put in 2 years of preparation along with my high school and finally managed my way in. That day when I received the results..too good I didn't sleep the entire night.That was my first night-out !Now I am a budding electronics and comm. engineer!

India is a potpourri of cultures each with its unique flavour! There's diversity in food, clothing, cultures, religion, language and the list continues...yet we all identify as one nation. The best part is that I have managed to absorb 21 years of exposure to varied cultures as I have lived for substantial periods in the northern, southern, and eastern parts of India.(Next Vying for West!).So you see, there's so much I want to tell you guys!
