CURRENT MISSION
Trying to be Parisian!
ABOUT ME
How would I describe myself? Badly.
I'm a guy who has no idea what I want to be, but while I'm here, I want to see as much I can, and do whatever comes my way.
My story so far: woke up one morning as a cold, wet and crying baby in a small village in the middle of nowhere in South India. Had crazy parents who tried to actually not send me to school, so naturally I fought tooth and nail until I got them to send me to boarding school at the age of 13. (For those of you who know it: Rishi Valley! Best times of my life!). But even after school was over, I had no idea what I was doing, so joined a course in Math and Computer Science because it took me places (you wouldn't believe how much money is being spent on flying students and researchers around!) Had the good fortune to spend two summers in Europe (of course I travelled and met new people every weekend), and also managed to briefly visit Canada and Hong Kong. Finished my bachelors, and surprise surprise, I'm still lost. So in the meantime I'm heading to graduate school in New York to experience some real big city life while I get my life sorted out :)
PHILOSOPHY
Hmm, I guess I'm still developing this as I go along. Something that my father taught me was to do whatever I did properly, or not at all. And I try to maximize on opportunities, I hate the sound a missed opportunity makes as it flies by! In general I try my hardest to be as open as possible (even with small things like food).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Well I'm new here, but I hope to have some amazing ones to put up here soon!
I've been to some couchsurfer events here in Paris, and they were amazing! Its so nice to find a bunch of open, friendly people all looking to make new friends and have a great time.
Interests
Is it absolutely redundant to say I love to travel? But I love to travel. And meet new people. And embarrass myself learning new languages and speaking them atrociously. And tasting new types of food, pretending to be a local, making random friends in parks and bookshops, having a good conversation, thinking, watching or playing sports (football (that's soccer to all you non-believers), basketball, tennis), reading (I'll read anything), wishing I could write, or play an instrument or dance, and trying to have, as Irving Stone's brilliant biography of Van Gogh puts it, lust for life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm working on this!
Teach, Learn, Share
Um, I'm not bad with a computer, I spent most of my childhood fixing little bugs with relatives' computers, so if your computer is not co-operating I can try to help!
I'd love to learn practically anything new. Right now though I wish I could dance, and do Parkour and things like that, so I'd love it if someone would teach me some basics!
