Olá, Hola, Hello! :)

My name is Sandra Santos, I am from a city in northern Portugal. I have a degree in Languages and International Relations from the University of Porto and a master's degree in Publishing from the University of Aveiro.

I have developed literary, artistic and cultural projects related to Portuguese language and translation, constantly coordinating several editions of Portuguese and lusophone authors across borders. Precisely, since Portugal was the guest country of the last edition of the Guadalajara International Book Fair (Mexico), I had the opportunity to co-coordinate two anthologies of Portuguese and Mexican poetry with a Mexican publisher and a collection of five classic Portuguese authors with an Argentinian publisher. Also, my first poetry book, entitled "Ether" was selected by a program to support the publishing and translation of the Camões Institute and DGLAB, to be published in its original version in Brazil and in bilingual format, Portuguese and Spanish, in Mexico.

At the same time, I worked as a Portuguese teacher as a foreign language for one year in Madrid. As I began to teach my language to foreigners, I realized that is fascinating to show all the Portuguese beauty and culture to my students.

I am currently working in Portugal as a freelancer in the areas of translation (ESP/ING-PT) and proofreading. I keep looking for new challenges, never settling for the predictable.
