Overview
About Me
I'm a newly graduated Masters of Arts performer, who has performed around the world, as poet, performance artist/musician/improvisor/conductor/ teacher/actor and generally a renaissance man in all forms of trades/fields.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting new people, story-swapping and traveling the world over, by getting to know the human race, one person at a time.
Interests
My interests are varied, including musical excursions into the punk rock realm, jazz, improvising and a whole slew of other stuff, as well as a local and world traveler. I like everything and when I say everything, i mean everything, as I am an extremely open-minded person who has tried many things once and some stuff 2 or 3 times. i do like talks over tea/coffee and cider, older movies, local haunts, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is every kind! It varies from punk, to jazz, to Beatles, to improvising to Frank Zappa to John Cage, to...well, I could write a laundry list I suppose, but that list would change everyday, as I am always listing to noise or whatever else is on my radio or in the universe. I'm also a big fan of film scores/soundtracks. Leonard Bernstein/Bernard Hermann are my 2 favorite composers.
As for books, now that I have graduated and have some real time to read, I have been currently reading Volume 1 & 2 of Vaudeville: Old & New, which is a passion of mine, though I might have been born 100 years too late, though i am happy with where i am and where I am heading to.
I like musicals on film, but also a fan of the older black and whites, before 1965. I like comedies, adventure and drama and a good film to give me something to think about.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The greatest achievement I can think of that I did do in modern personal history was to tour eastern Denmark for 2 and a half weeks with 4 Danish guys in a camper van during spring 2010. It helped me define what band touring is all about and it gave me a lot of life experience, positives and negatives, but the negatives were short-lived.
Ask me about other "amazing" stuff I have done; for that, I do have a laundry list for and it is pretty long.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've taught writing workshops in the past/present, throat singing and song-writing skills with a different approach.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A happy positive attitude.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Denmark, England, Germany
