Hi! I am Siebren Kuipers, mostly known as just 'Sieb'. In 2016 I decided to quit my job and leave my home country for a backpacking experience in Australia. I had such a great time, that as soon as I came back to the Netherlands after a year, I made plans for a similar adventure on the other side of the world: Canada. I love it here so much that I decided to stay, so this has now become my new home.

I love to be around people, play games, have fun or talk about life and whatnot, but I also enjoy reading books in my own time. Running and hiking are two of my favorite activities, but my biggest passion is music. I play piano and (bass) guitar and I love to create my own lyrics and melodies.

I have heard so many great things about couch surfing and since I love meeting new people I thought; why not give it a try !?

Fun fact: on one of my first couch surfing meet-ups I met a beautiful person, who is now my girlfriend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling and swimming with curious humpback whales. I've been whale watching before, but that's nothing compared to being in the water with these extraordinary animals and especially when they're coming so close you can almost touch them!
