I am an author and lecturer, after studying science at university I went on to have a successful career as a comedy writer, at the age of 29 I was diagnosed with cancer, it was this life-changing experience that made me determine to re-examine, my notion of success. I went on to become Head of Entertainment Development for BBC television, which I left to set up my own company.

I am spending two-years slowly and randomly travelling around the world whilst working on a new book.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent 30 years travelling within a business framework and went to many places but never got a sense of the cities I visited, I enjoy meeting the local people and getting to meet locals, not a fan of major tourist destinations so like to visit slightly out of the way places, and experience the culture, food and share good conversations .
