About Me

Hi peaceful people!

I haven't hosted anyone yet cause I don't have a place of my own. I am cohousing in Byron Bay with 2 other people. We're still figuring stuff out and then we might host people.

So after I graduated as a teacher in Physical Education and outdoor sports, I started travelling. Lived in Australia for 2 years, worked a couple of months in Belgium and then traveled a bit in Central America. Then I went back to Belgium to work for a while. After that I went to Asia, mainly to surf. I just got back to Australia and will be here for the next year.

I'm a very cheerful and outgoing person. I mostly travel by myself so being an easy, low maintenance, respectful person comes in handy. I can talk and entertain you for hours with made up or real stories, which I love to tell with a lot of gesturing and face making. I like lots of different sports. At the moment volleyball, yoga and surfing are my favourite! I'm a team player and can adapt easily. Exploring new places is another hobby of mine. Doesn't really matter if it's a city or the countryside. It's great if I can do it with friends. Although I like being by myself from time to time to really soak things up and come back down to earth. I do this by reading, listening to and sharing music or podcasts, food and meeting passionate people who can broaden my mind!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just started cohousing and need to figure stuff out with housemates but boy will I be psyched to host people! Sounds so exciting! I also want to give back and be grateful for unexpected things that can colour my life.

So I want to use CS because I like to travel with a minimum of comfort. Keeping it simple and small. Spending time with locals brings out the best in my travels. I would like to know about other people and their habits, their way of life. How do people from other countries live, work, what do they do in their spare time, what do they like to eat, what are their values in life..
