ABOUT ME

I live alone in Zeist, the Netherlands. I was born in the Netherlands and lived in Paris for one year when I was 19. In 1987 I moved to the USA ; then back to The Netherlands in 2015. I worked as a midwife in the Netherlands and the USA, but stopped when my kids were very young. We unschooled, and now both kids are grown and working.
I really enjoy couch surfing myself! I cannot host right now, since there's no room in my tiny apartment. I haven't couch surfed for quite a while, but would love to go on an adventure again!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Even before discovering Couch Surfing I had friends of friends stay with me when they needed a place for the night. When I travel I prefer couch surfing over impersonal hotels! I just love meeting new people and making new friends! I also enjoy being able to offer free lodging to travellers (but right now my living space is too small, alas). I love playing board- and cardgames and enjoy doing so with hosts and guests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had several people stay in my guesthouse when I lived in a rural town on a large property in Benson, AZ, USA; also when I lived in Tucson, AZ, USA. I have couchsurfed in different places in the USA over the years.
I now live on the other side of the world now, in the Netherlands. I've couchsurfed in Germany and Denmark.
During my last trip through the U.S. Southwest I couchsurfed and enjoyed it very much!

Zainteresowania

I enjoy the outdoors and love going on easy walks with my camera. I like books, movies, crafts, playing board- and card games, visiting with friends, travel, thrift stores, and learning new things. I eat vegetarian.

A 5 month RV road trip through the US, with my children and their dad, seeing and learning things I had no idea about!
