Overview
About Me
I'm a recent mechanical engineering graduate based out of Boulder, CO, USA. I grew up in the mountain town of Truckee, CA near Lake Tahoe. I'm a a vegetarian, but won't feel uncomfortable if you are a carnivore (or make you feel bad about it). I'm not the "girly" type of girl; I'd pick hiking over shopping any day. I'm perfectly content spending time alone, and even more content spending time with friends. I'm not much of a partier, but I do have a taste for good beer. I'm very laid back and easy to get along with (or so I'm told).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a fellow traveller, I want to give back to the community that has helped me in the past. A friend recommended this website when I travelled to Europe a few years ago, and I loved it! While travelling, I realized that I love hostels as much as the next person, but this is more of economically friendly form of accommodation and I love spending time with locals. I'm always looking to get off the tourist trail and experience the real heart of different countries.
Interests
I love anything that gets me outdoors. Skiing is my passion. When I'm not skiing, you can find me hiking, camping, and backpacking. I'm definitely a mountain person, but appreciate time on the beach as well. I love learning about history, but not in the traditional class room. I find learning history is much more fun in museums and old buildings. Other than that, I like reading as a hobby and can be found listening to music almost constantly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One year I consecutively skied 11 months in a row, which I think is pretty cool.
