I was recently asked why I travel, the answer is, I love to meet people from all over the world, get to know the different cultural quirks and experience how similar we all are in the end.
So basically I am spending most of my free time going places, meeting friends and making new friends.
For my current travel adventures I quit my job, which used to be in biological research (also good way of meeting people from all over the world, since it is very international). I am still teaching at the university though.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived in a quit boring small town in Germany for the past years, so my couch surfing experience is hosting 1 person. I like the idea of hosting and staying with couchsurfers, as chatting over coffee or drinks, you get to know new people willing to share some of their life and culture
